This is an amazing ski hill. All natural snow and incredible vistas accompany the best skiing I have experienced in my 65 years of participation in the sport! As well as the wide variety of terrain, the staff at this ski resort are focused on providing skiers with the best experience possible. It is my favourite place to ski!

We had incredible skies that offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Even though the gondola was not running, a bus took us up and down the mountain. Lots of hiking available at the top.

I just have to tell everyone that the sunshine gondola is 10 times better experience than the Banff gondola. Love the hike from the top of the chair lift back to the pub.

The unusual approach to this ski resort starts at the loft station. Everyone must ride a long gondola route up into the ski area. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful trip!

SERVICE AND STAFF RECOGNITION The overall service provided was excellent! A special mention goes to Max for his exceptional help on the hill. Max was very attentive to the skiers, actively ensuring their safety and making sure they were all well looked after. Emma was helpful, kind, and friendly. She made certain that the skiers were attended to. Her care and concern for others was very notable. GONDOLA AND LIFT OPERATIONS The lift service went smoothly. A key piece of advice for riders is to keep items bundled together close to you for a safe entry and exit from the gondolas, as they move very quickly! Be well prepared and alert as you enter and exit. For groups travelling together with multiple items, it is recommended to coordinate “who is carrying what items” to ensure that nothing gets left behind! SUMMARY OF SUNSHINE VILLAGE STAY We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunshine Village and experienced outstanding service! Staff members, including Max and Emma, are noted for their attentiveness, kindness, and dedication to skier safety and well-being. All the lift operators were friendly and helpful. They are experienced in their roles. While the lift service was smooth, I strongly advise guests to coordinate items if in groups and keep belongings secure due to the fast-moving gondolas. Feel free to request assistance if you have any concerns. The lift operators will gladly assist you! Annie W. Master Reviewer Local Guide / Google Maps

Good mountain if you are ok with generally shorter runs than places like the western US. This does mean more time on the lifts. Sure Sunshine does have some long runs but as a snowboarder I avoid any green runs. Beginner to intermediate would love it at Sunshine. The long run to the lift station base is a fun one (maintain as much speed as possible snowboarders) and much better than a gondola ride back. The gondolas and chair lifts with bubbles are an epic bonus...one has heated seats if I'm not mistaken but I never thought they felt heated... maybe just less cold.
